One of my favorite movies with a motorcycle scene is "The Great Escape" with Steve Mcqueen

See Einyodeler's thread on Electra Glide in Blue. It was pretty good, at least as much as I recall as a teenager. Buffo, I remember a show called "Then Came Bronson" as a kid. A drifter on a motorcycle but don't remember the bike or the actor. Was that the one you were thinking of?

It was a Harley Sporster (Bronson Bike). I remember the episode where he raced it in a desert scrambles...Christ we would believe anything back then. I bought and built the AMC model of that bike.

Buffo, for some reason I remember the name being something like supercop or something along those lines. He had a hyperspeed and was dressed in cumputerized armor.

I think there was also one called nighthawk.

yeah yeah. Nightrider was with Kit the talking, turbo boosting car. and I think Nighthawk was with a helicopter...and there was another one with a motorcycle...they were all black vehicles...all do gooders...all the same shows with different modes of transportation...

One of the "Dirty Harry" movies with Clint Eastwood has a cool chase with a couple of '60's Triumphs.

Didn't he also chase some rouge cops on a police Harley? After the one rode off the pier and crashed into the bay, I love it when he looks down and mutters, "Briggs was right.. you guys DO need more practice!"

And according to my brother in law, the Dirty Harry movie was Magnum force but with Moto Guzzi's, not Triumphs.  One of the Guzzi's turned into a Triumph for the last scene since they're so lightweight and nimble (and Guzzi's aren't...)

There's a guy that parks one on campus in the bike parking area... it's so TINY compared to all the other bikes around it.  Even my 650 dwarfs it.  Funny thing is, the guy that rides it is almost 6' tall!

"silver dream racer" or "silver racer" or some other such title having to do with a futuristic looking... you guessed it... silver motorcycle

and the kawi that tom cruise rides in "top gun" epitomizes 80's rockets.  the high speed burn next to the jet fighter taking off as he shakes his fist at it also epitomizes the 80's  :D
