I will be posting pics tomorrow to update progress. Long story short, I drove 1/3rd the way to st louis, got mad and turned around and drove home. So, I have several days to work on my bike and it's supposed to be about 55 or 60 out. Yaay.
Lloyd. As always I appreciate the info, because I enjoy learning.

Sorry for any interuption of your post Ink!!!!! I think its way cool for the ladies to wrench on their bikes.It gives you a better understanding of how things work and you will have more respect for the machine and the hobby all together!!Carry on

When this thread is about your build, I'm all ears (well, eyes really) and I respect your hard work and efforts. When this thread is just "open random commentary" I skim over the posts until it's back on track. You're doing awesome and I for one take your build seriously, regardless of your gender. If we want to make it about Gender, I would say you've accomplished more then me (not being a chick) and most of the other Guys on this forum!

Keep up the hard work, I'm looking forward to you completing your project!

Whew! man I had to put my high water pants on to wade thru all the goo mixed in your build, I wanted ot pass this on if you wanted to drill your rotors for farts and giggles. I made several types of patterns so you will have to open the pdf to look at it. I also have directions on there so you can print them out in two halfs and tape the template back together for the pattern.
Pm me if you want help printing them off, I could possibly make you a paper pen plot if you can't print it out right.

Grooovy.
So, today started like any other good day. With a hangover. yaay. Anyway, I woke at approximately 8:15 this morning for no apparent reason. I hear some motorcycles drive by the house and decided to get up and get started. After about a gallon of water, 2 excedrins and my morning regiment of vitamins, went to the bathroom. Woo hoo. Very interesting, Now that we're in the bathroom i splash some water on the face and look at what used to be hair on my head and find it to be a disgusting 3 tone, root growth mop. i quickly call the hairdresser and go and get my hair done.
Now that thats out of the way I come home and grab some bolts to match, a fiberglass mat to return, and what cash I got laying around. (7 dollars)
I go to home depot, return the mat, and spend about 20 minutes in the bolt section before I finally decide to just get a 1/4 x12" all-thread and some wing nuts to repair my air filter housing.

After getting it apart I find little buddies inside:

A missing nut, so that's cool, no where to bolt to anymore.....

So I got some replacements but decided Instead to start glassing.
Some of you will appreciate the fact that I have about 97cents in materials. hahahahhaha

Foam for hump, chicken wire, fabric, snaps, snap press thingy, resin and glass. CHECK!

While I was standing there staring at stuff pretending to work, I noticed that I still had yet to mount my front turn signals. Where the hell am I going to do that? Oh, wait, I'm pretty sure that my old turn signals had brackets on them. Under my little honda badge on the front theres some holes that'll work. so, I remove the old brakets off the old turn signals, they look like #$%* so I put together a little kit:

I knew that snoman fingernail file would come in handy......bwahahahaha.

It looks more wavy in the picture than in real life. Don't worry this is just the bottom layer for reinforcement.

My dog isn't impressed.....

I have to admit I have not really being pay much attention and I am not sure how you went from 0 to page 19 in 2 weeks, heck your on pace to catch the the Babe thread.

Any way I think if i were you I would trim the edges of the seat up and get some short hair body filler and some 36 grit coated sand paper And get your shape going your way and smooth it up a little. What ever you do you want to make sure you don't get a lot of voids or air bubbles between layers of resin and cloth, this is why I say straiten it up with some short hair body filler go back to a coat or two of resin and cloth and finish with ultra lite weight body filler. I think evercoat makes about the best.

I admire your effort, and as far as the last 10 pages go, if it sounds over thought or smells like crap it probably is.
