Tommy Emmanuel is brilliant, i was talking to him at work years ago and he gave me and my crew free passes to his show that night. It was Tommy and Phil {his brother} with a full band set up but just those 2 playing....everything..... awesome muso's.

As a kid, watched Andre Segovia play in concert from @ the 4th row. How a man with fingers like sausages and older than Christ could coax that kind of music from the beat-up box he played still fills me w/awe. Roy Clark... If you haven't heard 'em. Rodrigo/y Gabriel... I'm not hot on Flaminco, but, this duo impress me. G

While there are and were many players that were perhaps more technically facile, no one appeared to have more fun playing and contributing wonderfully than Tom T-Bone Wolk. A great bass and guitar player and an underrated singer, RIP.

Jerry Reed. I heard him play with Chet Atkins once, there were tunes Jerry wrote that Chet mentioned, Jerry had moved on and didn't even really remember how to play them until Chet got started.

jerry reed played alot with chet atkins , just before he died jerry said that without chet [ who produced some of his best stuff ] he would never have made a good record . my favorite is Jerry's breakdown , great playing from both of them . jerry also wrote the themes to smokey and the bandit and [if you are british you will remember ] the benny hill show . he also had one of the best country music song titles ever ..... she got the gold mine i got the shaft !!!

have seen andy mckee twice now and he keeps getting better , not only a great guitar player he also puts on a great show

Lots of good stuff being mentioned.I'm sitting at the PC making labels for some of my old albums that I am slowly getting burned on to CD.I have to listen to them first though and make sure that they aren't too dodgey!!! In the player right now.....Allman Bros.-Eat a Peach.............more than halfway thru............so far,so good

. Before that was the Airplane....Surrealistic Pillow......Scorpions.....best of Rockers & Ballads...........Jeff Beck....Who Else!!!...........Aerosmith....Permanent Vacation. On deck.............Black Sabbath....Technical Ecstasy and Skynyrd....Gimme Back My Bullets. That outa be enough for tonight. I still have 50+ to listen to,label, & put away with plenty more on the way.I AM a music whore and will probably be building another matching CD case because the one I built a coupla months ago is fast approaching full (holds 840 CD's in full size jewel cases).
