I've been getting into Bucky Pizzarelli lately, he's great.  Howard Alden is a monster, too. Here they are playing Cherokee.  Sadly the video cuts out toward the end.

I'm glad to see someone else put some of the jazz guys up. Howard Alden was the guitar player on the soundtrack for Sweet and Low Down, which really impressed me. Bucky has been a guitar player's player and a seven string one at that for a long time now. I saw Stanley Jordan with a friend at a small club in Boston back in the middle '80's. His tapping was so good we were awed. Great choices!

I've been listening to a lot of John 5 recently.  He is Rob Zombie's current guitar player but his solo albums are just plain insane.  He plays an awesome variety of styles.  Don't see to many guitarists playing metal with a tele  ;D

I don't know much of anything regarding artists young or old, but my daughter showed me this video a few months ago, and I had to ask her for the YouTube link.  This kid never shows his face in the video, and he goes by "guitar90".  Couldn't find anything else about him. I hope it's not a hoax or something.  But this video is really enjoyable to watch a kid that can play like this.  Not sure how you embed video links, hope this works.
