Very nice! :)  I've had plans for replacing the enormous tail light on my 550 for a long time now.

Do you have a light for the license plate?

I'm actualy toying with a tail light off an RD250 for mine.  its a nice round little thing, and looks pretty clean.
These bikes dont die, they hibernate until the right person wakes them up again.

Let me see if I can find a picture of my friend's old RD250, or his dad's 400 to use as an example.

ok, heres a picture of the RD250 with the round tail light on it. I think the 1972-1975 RD250, RD350, and I think the RD400 of the same years.  all have the same running gear. only differnces are the crank and transmissions. all 3 use the same engine cases, wiring harnesses, everything pretty much.  the 250/350 are only a difference of the bore.

Queeg, You should lightly wet sand that tail light to give it that matte finish look to match the rest of the bike. You're right, though, that fits nicely under that seat.

Those tail lights are better, still big tho, I guess they wanted to be sure everyone saw you break.

Nice clean 2 strokes tho, bet its fun to ride those.

That one is just an example.  My buddy's was just like it, anda RIOT to ride. royal pain to keep tuned right though.  but it certainly was a unique experience.
