Does $45 sound about right to post a speedo from Valier Pennsylvania to the uk? cheers Mick.

Mick

I was quoted $30.00 to ship a speedo from the UK to Canada.

Check www.usps.com for internation rates.
You know how much they weigh.

    Jimmy beat me to it..
Canada Post from Sask. to the UK- a package 9"x9"x9" weighing 3 lbs. would cost $70.00Cdn ($54.27USD) if sent Express (6 days) or $48.39Cdn ($37.51USD) sent by Air. No insurance included.
   $30.USD sounds about right.

Ouch Mick! My pistons and cylinders only cost me $80 odd $’s from Ohio by USPS Air Mail, the falling £ is not good for getting our parts. :o

I know some people don't like to hear it, but, there is more to the cost of shipping something than just the cost of shipping.

For someone to ship professionally, you have to buy boxes, filler, tape, labels, etc.

Some people consider this and some people don't. But $45 doesn't sound like serious rape depending on the shipping method they chose.

Big change Mick is that the US Post Office now ONLY do airmail to UK so that upped the cost a lot. In the past i had gear boxes and crankcases from the US but not any more

USPS Priority Mail is $33 for 6 to 10 day delivery but can't be insured. Express is 5 day delivery guaranteed for $41.50 but insurance is extra. Figure $4 to $5 for insurance so sounds about right to me.
