I used Krylon before I heard... can final coat be RustOleum?
« on: March 07, 2009, 09:17:31 AM »
I have three coats of Krylon enamel on my frame and then heard it was not chem resistant.
My question is if I can use a final coat of RustOleum?
Also is it absolutely necessary that I clear coat?
Also, can I use really fine steel wool or do I need to wet sand to get the tiny little bumps off?

I'd think that if you give it a good sanding, you could apply a coat of rustyoleum in whatever colour you wanted.  If you're going to use steel wool or wet sand tiny bumps off, you'll want to use a clear coat to bring back the sheen.  Otherwise, I'd not bother with either.
