Exhaust
« on: March 06, 2009, 11:54:25 PM »
I'm in need of opinions and observations from all you helpful folks. Assuming my pipes are in good enough shape to blast and coat, should I get my exhaust blasted and coated or get a new set as far as price is concerned? I want some black pipes for the yellow and black direction I'm going with my bike. Mac makes inexpensive pipes, but I haven't heard a lot of good things about them. There are several places in my area that chrome, but I don't know exactly where to go to get some kind of black heat resistant coating. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Do a google search for ceramic coatings in your area.  I found a place in my area that coated my old used exhaust, and was reasonable.  There is a place called "JET" or "JET HOT" or something like that and they're a bit pricey, and I'm not sure if they coat anything that has been used.  I think they're in Texas and you have to ship it to them.

You're pretty close then.  I'll have to look them up and get back to you.

Dude, We'll have to get a group of us Chicago area riders together sometime and go for a ride!  Mods vs. Rockers is coming up in June, or maybe something as soon as the weather gets nicer.

Yeah, that would be great.  I've seen a few posts on here before about getting the Chicago riders together.  Let me know if you hear/see anything
