Who has Watched the Watchmen?

Saw it in IMAX, real the novel, liked both. The gratituitous sex scene in the owl thing was a bit much though. If I wanted porn I would have gone down to the Strand Theater. Rorsasch Rocks!

i liked it a lot. havent read the book thingy or graphic whatever its called. but now i want to. rorshack and the comedian were my two fav. characters.   and i'lll never complain about some ( . Y . ) in  a movie lol. its a bit different than other superhero movies and thats why i liked it
But thence came the Great Schism, when the two like tribes diverged, and the Bobbers did take the Road to Cruiserdom and the Cafe Racers did ride to Sportbikedom and they did pollute the lands along their paths with their abominable spawn of Choppers, Stuntaz and like manner of unholy douchebaggery

I was going to go see it both Friday and Monday, but it was so nice out I just rode right past the theater and headed out to the back roads. It might rain tomorrow so I guess I might catch a matinee (the joys of unemployment....)

I am very excited to see it, I loved the graphic novel and worked in a comic shop in NYC when it came out so it brings back a point in time for me that was really fun. I am doing my best not to build it up too much before I go see it so I am not disappointed though.

Was it worth seeing it in IMAX? The nearest showing to me in IMAX is about a 30 minute drive (16 miles as the crow flies... gotta love NoVa...)

The movie had its good points and it's bad points.  It was a fairly good adaptation of the graphic novel overall, although I'm not thrilled about a few of the changes in the main plot points near the end.  It's LONG, over two and a half hours, so use the restroom beforehand :)  I enjoyed seeing it in IMAX.

BTW I just went back and looked and the "gratuitous sex scene in the owl thing" is right there in volume 7.  Complete with ( . Y . )  :)

I think the only reason why I liked it was because I loved the graphic novel, and watching it reminded me of how good it is.  That sex scene was so painful to watch though.  I also think there should be a moratorium on using Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" during sex scenes in any movie.

Exactly, I am all for the gratuitous T&A beach blanket scenes in my R flicks, but that scene just got dragged out a bit long for me. Otherwise, the inner geek was well satisfied with the rest of the flick.
