Hey
« on: March 11, 2009, 03:36:33 AM »
Hi all!
What a forum! This place is a god-send for ill-informed, juvenile, grease monkey wannabes (yup that's me). And to think I was just searching for used cb750's and this gem of the net came up!

Well for what I can tell about myself I am definitely a newbie to mechanical tasks, but I offset that with an OCD like drive for research. I cant own a motorcycle (family had a death on one), so I just read as much as I can about them and take take parts from bikes, disassemble, clean, then rebuild  :P. Its a good compromise.

Now to post the hell out of this forum!... hmmm, what should I post? :P

what should I post?

Start with where you are!    ;D

Bad news about the family/bike problem.  Does this mean you'll never get out on one or that you just can't own one?

Welcome.

The first thing I did when I moved away at the age of 19 was buy a 1968 CB350. No more tyranical (sp?) mother to deal with. I then received my draft notice the next week. Good week/bad week.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

wow, talk about life's coincidences. I will likely do the same when I move out (excluding the draft part). Ive been eyeing a handsome 76 CB750 I found, hopefully a dream like that will come true...soon!
