LOOKING TO GET WHITE WALL TIRES
« on: March 11, 2009, 11:39:29 AM »
NOT SURE WHAT LOCAL BRANCHES OR ONLINE STORES WOULD HAVE WHITE WALL TIRES FOR A 1980 CB650. WITH COMSTARS. I THINK THE FRONT  IS 110-90-19 AND THE BACK IS130-90-16 SOMETHING

I used ranger tire paint and it works good...but I need new tires anyway so I am looking for the real thing...the paint cracks some due to flexing of the tire.

everyone I am finding online has the 130-90-16 as a front tire not a rear tire.

Maxxis makes the whitey tighty side wall tires.  I have them on one of the CB750 Bob jobs on my website under past projects.

I ended up getting two front Maxxis Classic tires.  I ordered from here: http://www.motorcycleproshop.com as they had the fairest tire prices and shipping prices.  I may get a phone call saying they want more money for shipping as they only charged $24 for shipping.  Seems that many folks are running the front tire on the back.

This image will show you what Parts Unlimited MSRP is on these tires.

This is the only place that I found them in stock:

http://www.tiresunlimited.com/ALL%20TIRES/Maxxis/maxxis_classic_m6011.htm

They are saying that the tire is discontinued.  So, once they're gone, they're gone.  I found a pic of the 120/90 18 front tire mounted on the rear.  Here it is:
