pic request, electricals
« on: March 12, 2009, 01:00:05 PM »
Is electricals a word? Oh well. Ive got a 75 750k and am now to the point of hooking the wiring back up. Does anyone have a close up pic of the electrics at the junction box? Im following the manuals but nothing helps as much as a color photo. thanks guys

OK, I've got a few photos that include the electrical tray, kinda... What exactly are you looking for?

<edit> When you say junction box, you mean in the electrical panel on the side, or in the headlight bucket??

I recommend getting rid of that mess and running kingskustomcycles wiring.  Simple as it gets

never heard of that but I hope to work the elextrics out by myself without throwing money at someone with "Kustom" in it's name!

I could go out and make picture of it but it's a CB500 so not much of a help for you I think. But if you like me to do just tell me!

Here's from the K3, showing the earlier-style starter safety unit (at the bottom with a red block connector):

(When you said "Junction Box" there were some later bikes that used a plastic box under the headlight to house all the electrical connections there)

In that case, the large terminal to the rear of the bike goes to the battery (as well as the red pigtail that connects the key swith and rectifier to the wire harness, and the other terminal goes to the starter. The smaller trigger wires are color coded.
