Not sure what this is but i bought it and dont want it!
« on: March 12, 2009, 06:10:31 AM »
So i bought a set of triple trees from ebay for my 73 cb500 four and they are NOT from a cb500 four as listed. No big deal, my stupid mistake. I was just in a hurry, and should have looked into them more. They cost next to nothing so im not too pissed, but now i have parts i dont need. Take a look at the pic, you can see that the top tree is not a clamp like a 500, bot solid w a hole through it so you can run a fastener downward. I dont know what there for, but if you do and can use em, let me know. And if anyone has a top tree from a cb 500 four you can spare let me know also.

I have one but it would need repaired, though you can have it for free. It has two clean snaps around the clamps that would braze/weld of sorts back together quite nicely.

Pm me if you're interested, it's yours for the cost of getting it there. it even has the electrics with it (71cb500)

I'd guess an SL350 too narrow for a road bike but the bottom part is def Honda.
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

If the part was misrepresented, then you can file a claim with eBay to try and get your money back.

Hmmm.... it must be an optical illusion, but it looks like the upper tree is even narrower than the lower part.  Like they're from two different machines.

Unless you got it DIRT cheap, I think I'd be following up in some official ebay capacity or other.

I need a top tripple (sp?) tree that fits a CB360, but if I was you I'd keep it.
Hey, your only 28---I've been pulling valuable stuff out of my parts stash for 40 years--
some day you will need that thing ! Trust me.
