Hush pulls a wheel-stand
« on: March 13, 2009, 06:31:01 PM »
OK ok I know it's not PC to do such things and at my age I should know better but I was at a set of traffic lights and when they went green the bike just went for it. ;D......and that your Honour is the case for the defence. ;D
Actually it's the first time I have had the bike running on all 4, with a clean air filter, decent tires, unfouled plugs and carbs that aren't attempting to empty the entire contents of my tank all over the road, so it came as a shock to me too. :D
Acceleration from 60mph to 75 is smooth and eye wateringly quick.
Damn it's good when it all works as it should!!! ;D

OK move along nothing to see here.
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

With all the junk (police gear) on this baby I wasn't keen to see where the trip was going to end so using the old lean forward and bring her down gently trick I got the nose down just after the intersection so was quite an impressive lift.
Not sure what the locals thought, a cop doing teen tricks on his patrol bike. ;D

You got that right!  And yet there are people that sneer at what these bike can do when operating as they should.  Go figure.

Congrats Hush.  The puckering feeling you get when the bike does things like this is the payoff for all the hard work :)

Isn't that what holds you onto the seat when doing a wheelie? :D

Actually the partial vacuum created by doing this maneuver does...
But nonetheless, yes it does hold you to the seat.

Unless,of course ,you had the optional brass ball holder installed, or made a custom one to your specific needs. That one does quite well also.

(hahahahahha......)

With rear crash bars, pannier bags full of tools, ticket and radio box etc, I was kinda worried I might be stuck on the back wheel all afternoon! ;D
Nothing like the sight of your windshield coming up to meet your helmet to remind you how to get the front wheel down again. ;)
