750F brake lever return spring???
« on: March 14, 2009, 10:35:58 AM »
Searched the forums but no luck with the 76 750F brake lever return spring.

I know one end of spring hooks over back side of brake pedal shaft.

Where does the other end attach to create tension on spring???

Help please...

Looking at the rear master you will see the triangle formed by the frame in which the rear master is located. The spring wraps around the frame, from the rear to the front, at the leading/front angle of the triangle. Hope you can get a visual of this.

Don't know if you can see in the pic, but it supports itself on the brake shaft, one end hangs over the brake arm, and the radius end fits against the frame tube (mine has a piece of yellow tubing covering this part).

Thanks!  Not sure I have the right spring but with a torch and some bending was able to get some tension on it.

Nice looking set of controls there...
