I Must Have Missed Something On The "Eldar" Thing
« on: March 15, 2009, 04:47:07 PM »

Wouldn't be the 1st time that I've Missed something. ::) At any rate, I'd just like to say that NONE of us are perfect (I KNOW that I'm not!) I dare say that there are things said by others that might get things stirred a bit, but I, for one, am hoping that things smooth over and he comes back because, each and everyone here, adds to the performance of this place and makes it what it is. 8) ;) I'd like to hear from him, if he wants to talk.

I had no idea he split.  When he gets going, he can be funny!

MR B, I found where I had gotten a few messages from him (not only do I rarely get rid of anything, I also am a bit slow about clearing out my messages) and tried to send one but it wouldn't work because he's shut his membership down and I don't know his email address. Guess we will just have to wait and see how it plays out. :-\

Bummer

I really looked forward to it when I saw his screen name in a thread.

I knew he "changed" his name a couple of days ago. Or maybe made another account. But why leave?

I tended to stick up for him in several threads. Regardless of his position he was a great character and fun to converse with.

That's too bad, I had hoped to talk to him and see what was up. Guess we'll just have to wait and see if he'll return or not. I've got a feeling (hope it's not true) that he's gone for good. Like I've said before, EVERYONE has something to offer here and THEY make this place what it is (NOT trying to shortchange Glenn, Bob or Steve either).

It had to have been something else.  I found and read the metal thread, and there was nothing intense enough to have chased him away.  The political threads were WAY more intense.  His hide is way thicker than that.

What a shame! "Young Eldar" was always good for a bit of banter and sparring over a decent technical issue - can't believe he's hung up his boots....maybe we should start a "What oil would you run in Eldar's bike" thread to tempt him back?!  :o

I agree. Eldar wouldn't run from the metal thread.

Interesting guy, a bit sensitive about his home state; my observation of its flat, barren landscape, with roads so straight they merge to points as they roll over the horizon made him, well lets say I think he took exception to my sarcasm.

For those who are really interested in Eldar's future, check my last post on the other thread about him. And, BTW, I don't look at it as him "running out or what ever". I personally see it as the easiest way to"Let It Go!" ;) And that's what he seems to be doing, "Letting It Go!" And that's what I'll be doing.
