I have to agree with Raul. Anyone into sandcasts knows what is correct for the bike or not.  It is easy as a sandcast collector to seperate the crap from the real items. Some sellers label items as sandcast to get attention. It's up to the buyer to know what they are looking for. Recessed ignitions were used on many 69 Honda models. Wether it came from a 350 or a 750 it is still an appropriate sandcast part and will garner way more money as sandcast than 350 ignition. Same with many other parts of the era. If you are going to get into the "correct part" collector game it's up to you to do your homework, ask the right questions or walk away if you have any doubts. Bob, never cut back on Pub time. Eli

If this is being discussed SPECIFICALLY as a sandcast issue and what parts are appropriate for collectors of a very production limited run of bikes then basicly you are correct.
It was my interpretation that this discussion was more along the lines of dishonest ebay sellers attempting to cash-in on misleading descriptions for Honda MC parts and many other items.

I agree 100%. Many times sellers simply hide what can be an issue, and if you buy the item and complain they just say "I didn't know, you should have asked beforehand..." I don't trust blurry pictures either. I never know wether it's lack of practice or hiding details.
