Found my oil leak, 78 550k
« on: March 18, 2009, 03:55:12 PM »
I was trying different washers etc trying to get my drain plug from leaking. Finally proped the bike up, cleaned it off and got a light on it and noticed the crack along the threads, see pict: http://www.goomer.com/honda/cb550k.html

I most likely would have seen this before if I had a center stand.

I am thinking of JB Weld on the outside? Any ideas besides a new pan?

JB will fix almost anything........ um..... except maybe that.

I'd swap the pan.

Any 500/550 pan will fit so there should be loads out there
