cb750 F2-F3 question

whats the pump mounted under my battery for?  looks like the disconnected lines maybe hook up to the gas tank?  any help appreciated.

Don't know that there is a pump mounted under there... in fact I'd say that there isn't!  :o

Probably you are seeing the components related to this, it is mounted under the battery:
