A little better deal than the tranny, eh?
I want to see what he gets for those, since I have a set I'll be selling later... ;D

I saved the pics, to compare with my Yosh 6 speed for CB550. I'm wondering if any of the parts are from a CB400F or CB360 6 speed?

I also have a Yosh 5 spd CR kit and some of those gears came in OEM bags with part numbers. I wrote them down somewhere. When I return home in mid May I'll post those numbers and  the ratios. Maybe with help from others we can piece together a CR kit from OEM parts?

My 6 speed required you to lose both the E-start and kickstart if I remember right, does anyone know if that's true of the CR750 as well?

So which was easier, push start, rollers, or remote starter?
That would suck if you killed it at a stop light.  ;D

360.00 for Harmon F grind is not very smart. ::) New Carrillo's can be bought for 995.00 for the SOHC and there was one set in stock there. These were several other auctions from the seller. Those RC rods are modified stock pieces.....those CycleX rods  look much better and haven't been sitting around for years. I wonder what the reserve on those rods is????

Mike,

He had noted that Carrillos are only custom made now for $1200 and his reserve was half that. Guess we'll see them come up again. Last bidder got close. Megacycle still lists the F grind without mention of being unavailable or regrind. Less expensive too.

Jerry....you're right about the F grind. You can get it hardwelded for that kind of money.

Hi kayaker. The 970 CR trans is interchangeable with the stock assembly in the 750 without modifications or deletions.Rock On

Me again.I should add that the 970 CR shift drum is not required to be installed unless u want to change the shift pattern to 1 up /4 down.At the time of it's introduction most race machines had that configuration and Honda saw fit to maintain that tradition. My memory may be failing me on this next point, but the CR kit my boss purchased came with a linkage to move the shift lever to the right side of the machine for the convenience of the riders who at that time were mostly used to this setup.Mike Duff was the original rider of the bike and has the lap record at the defunct Harewood Acres circuit on it.   Rock On

Apologies folks.Sometimes I need to think before typing! The CR kit shift drum was a reverse unit so that reversing the shift lever for rearsets would keep the same pattern. The linkage I referred to in previous post was added in house cause Duff wanted the shift lever on right side. The discombobulation on my part was inadvertent.

You mean Michelle don't you City Boy?  ::)

I remember Mike dropping by the shop way back when to true a crank or the like. A true champion rider from those early days.
