CX500 Coolant Recovery Tank
« on: March 20, 2009, 02:27:41 PM »
Has anyone replaced the coolant recovery tank on a CX500 or GL500?  It's sandwiched between the engine and the frame right at the bottom.  The starter and side of the frame block access from the left side and bottom.

Short of pulling the engine, how the hell would someone replace this thing?

IIRC, you pull the engine.

BUT, I did this years ago to replace a failed water pump, and it was step-by-step following the Chilton's manual.  Out on the floor in only a few hours.

The whole job should be less than a Saturday.

Go for it!

Well, it WAS 15 years ago that I did it...   :D

But, there you go - not too difficult at all.
