custom exhaust or buy a mac system
« on: March 23, 2009, 01:06:31 AM »
I want some new headers for my 350 twin but I can't weld. I was wondering what it would cost (ballpark) to have someone custom make some headers that don't swoop as much as the stockers. I also want it to be a 2 into 1 system. I know Mac exhaust makes a kit but the tip is hideious! I was thinking of getting it and then fitting a different tip only problem there is it looks like the 2 into 1 junction is attached to the tip.

Is it possible for someone to fab one up for me for less then $300? I don't want it chrome so that won't matter. Anyone think I could get some one to do it for $300-$400, or cheaper???

I would say your price range is optimistic. You might be able to find a muffler shop with a pipe bender that could bend one out for you, but usually when hear the word "motorcycle" they turn you away.
