Guy stalled his bike on a slanted hill at a stop light in a turn lane. He was not paying attention and was trying to kick start it. Every time he did so he inched into oncoming traffic a little bit, he finally got it started when he was finally fully in a lane and there was a suburban coming so he kicked it into first and tore through the red light narrowly escaping a gruesome death. Pretty dumb.

hahahahha

I got one for you..... Took a 250+ hp drag bike through town in a 2 lane divided highway. At night.

No lights, plates, exhaust, signals, nothing. I didn't have a trailer and needed to move it so... I figured it was 11 at night what's the worst that could happen?

Cops probably would've stopped me but they kept losing me in the darkness.

Last time I was EVER stupid on a motorcycle. Scared the piss outta me.

that sounded like a lot of fun though!
I did something like that once but in a pickup! Full moon out, following friends, they went over a hill and I killed the lights.
Got up behind them and they could not see me. Enough moon light for me though. At a certain point, I blasted them with light. Go figure, I was 16! ;D

Thank you Mr Lake!

Ya it was fun as hell until I got bombarded by lights and sirens. Around here they revoke your license permanently for that #$%*.

So my giving a person a benefit of the doubt makes me that person? I would like to know how that happens. But as for asking my opinion, I can give it freely. Same as you or anyone else. Clearly you had great disdain for him so I wont bother you anymore with the topic and will move onto my own thing. Fear not fishhead, I wont be anything but cordial to you on future topics.

Good day to you sir.

I am not trolling gordon.

Considering the fact that a large number of the few posts you've made in your 5 days registered here have been about a contentious, interpersonal issue that you know absolutely nothing about and that goes back way beyond any "research" you've done so far, I'd have to disagree.

You may very well not be a troll, but if that's the case the first impression you're giving isn't helping you.

I managed to piss off crazypj in my first day here.

Pissing you two off in 5 days almost seems on par if you ask me.

But you didn't did you?  ;D

Very sorry gordon.  I will not bring up said person again. I can see how it could be seen as bad form. Of course it does not concern me and was mainly just curiosity. Info gathering for myself.

Havoc, I think pissing someone off will happen no matter what! Hey I did and certainly tried not to. kinda like a magnet. Similar polarities repel each other.

You could always try to piss me off.... then you'd have the trifecta.

Good luck though.

Maybe telling me I'm too young..... that might do it. lol.

Nah..

It's the same thing all over AGAIN. What could have been easily handled through a PM (my signature) just had to be posted on the forum for all  to see.
Same M/O,  wanting to drag whole forum down with his petty little issue instead of sending a PM and getting resolution with out ruining an existing thread or specifically starting a seperate thread for it.
Hey, Brew, why dont you delete your post in theis thread that have nothing to do with the original thread title?

Big deal. We made light of the issue and everything kind of disolved until now.

So he didn't send you a PM. I never have and maybe never will. But I will call you or anyone else out for everyone to see because I expect the same from you or them.

There's a difference between having a disagreement and being a downright #$%*. Something I don't think you are.

Back on topic,
I rode my first bike home (GS500) after picking it up from a dealer I later learned was a little shady.  Being my first bike and a little too excited, I failed to do much of a preride check. So as I ride it home and going across a couple of railroad tracks I lowside it with my father following me. I picked it up right quick and proceed to fall again. At this point traffic is stopped and my father is out of his truck seeing if I am okay. I pick it up again and ride it home to find the tires were severly underinflated, ~20psi.  Still, I should have checked the tires before the ride. To this day, I do a preride check everytime.

With 10 years experience at the time, I managed to do the same thing.  In 1976, I purchased a new H-D Superglide FXE.  The salesman offered free storage for the winter.  In the spring I called to pick the bike up.  When I arrived it was parked outside the dealership.  I signed the last papers and my dad and I left.  I pulled out into traffic and went one block to the red light.  That's when I found out I had no brakes.  I split the lanes (not legal in Michigan) and managed to turn a corner without getting hit.  I managed to get back to the dealership.  I went inside and went after the salesman, who was supposed to have the bike prepped.  I was screaming at him in front of a showroom full of customers.  Turns out they never filled the 2 master cylinders.  Never trusted a dealership or anyone else for my safety again.

I was sitting at a red light on a 4 lane road and got rear ended by a triumph mc, It was doing about 50 mph. My 750/4 looked like a bike that hit a car but in reverse! I thought that was pretty stupid.          Head

Yeah, I hoped I cost him a sale or 2 in the process.  I got the last laugh when a few year later they closed down. I found out later they had the worst service department in  metro Detroit.  Maybe he went back to being the french fry manager at McDs.  ;D
