Damn Snow!
« on: March 25, 2009, 08:48:11 AM »
Just last Friday the ice and snow had melted enough for me to get down my driveway onto the street on the little bay our house is on, then out onto the main roads for my first little test ride of 2009. At the same time pulled my snowmobile into the garage, thinking won't be riding it anymore this year, to replace some bearings so it's out of service, no big deal.

 Wake up this morning...........

Would it be rubbing it in if I told you that I cut my grass on Tuesday of this week and then went for a ride?   ;)

We got that same storm here in Idaho Falls, but it was a little to warm. The snow melted to fast and we onlly kept about three inches in the grass.

Looks like it started a few hours earlier up your way, Heff.  We have about 3-4 inches on the ground at my place, and it's coming down fast, supposed to last until tomorrow morning.  I lucked out and have the day off.  Traffic is really gonna suck this evening for everyone who drove to work this morning when the roads were fine.

I'll be paying for it when I'm digging out my thoroughly entrenched car to get to work at 5am tomorrow. :'(

At least it's late March and we can count on the fact that no matter how much falls, it will all melt away in a couple of days.  Unlike when this happens in late December and we're stuck with icy roads for TWO FREAKING MONTHS!  Sorry, still bitter about that Winter we had two years ago.

Forecast for the weekend is 50's and sunny!! :)
