I'm Back!! Been away for a while.
« on: March 26, 2009, 09:25:16 AM »
Hello All,

I've been missing in action a while it seems.

Every once and a while I feel compelled to take a break.

Been a combination of factors with this one.

As some of you may know...Work took me to Louisville in November and January.

Did a bunch of Flying there. Averaged 100 hrs a month.

Had a visitor in December for Christmas.

But I've managed to have some fun here and there and do a bit of Riding.

So lets see:

Went to Louisville

Went to Barber. What a great Museum!

Went to New Orleans for a bit.

Then Went to Australia for a Month.

Hung out in Brisbane:

Did some flying and took some tests for an Australian ATP conversion

Hung out a bit at the Gold coast

And Bought a Motorcycle over there and cruised a bit.
After I learned to drive on the wrong side of the Road.

Just hanging in the shop now cleaning it up.

Actually getting organized and stacking all the parts I've neglected the last 3 months.

Just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone.

Might get back to the projects after a bit.

Cheers

Tim

Don't supposed you hooked up with any of our Aussie friends while you were over there did you?

What was the ZR like? (They're called "Zephyr" over here)

Hey Matt,

Trust me KSDF-CYYC-CYEG was plenty cold. (thats Louisville-Calgary-Edmonton).

TravelAire ain't that?

SteveD...didn't look anyone up sorry to say...thought about Terry but he's way the hell down south.

Almost bought one of the new CB400 Fours they have over there...was tempted..they sure are sweet and would make a great match for the old 400.

The ZR was exavtly like the one I had here....same year same color same milage...even paid what I sold the last one for a couple years back....Deja Vu all over again. Its sitting in the Girlfriends Garage...I need to get back over before the battery goes flat  :D

All the bikes even started when I got back....well cept the 350F but it didn't start without kicking it before I left.(and theres a battery sitting on the bench needing acid for it).

Only one carb leaking out of the bunch  ::)

Had I known there was an offer of a pint I would have looked you up....

Perhaps next time as I'm thinking of Hopping a jumpseat on an ATLAS 747 next time into sydney rather then buying a ticket.

Hey Tim. That time off was well deserved, I'm sure. I can only imagine how you must have enjoyed your escapades. 8) Good to see you back, if even for a bit. Myself, I'm kinda aching to see the "Frankenbike" get some work.

i've always thought there was such a thing as clutter bugs... they come in while your away and destroy your workspace!
so, its true then?

Welcome back. Nice pics. When down in OZ how did it feel flying upside down? ;D
