« on: April 16, 2005, 10:12:08 PM »
My key and only key has a number 818 stamped on it.  How can I get a honda replacement.  I also have a set of locks with out a key how can I get a key?
These wonderful little birds are great flyers, delicious eating, excellent for training your hunting dog, and just fun to shoot,or stuff and keep around the house.  Bobwhites can be put with other types of Quail and have very large penis's.  Quail are very popular with the babes.

Give Mark Troxell at www.hondakeys.com a try. He has pictures of all Honda motorcycle keys. He also has instructions for how to find the numbers on the lock cylinder so he can provide you with the proper corresponding key. He's prompt and great to deal with. I've heard he'll even send you a few different keys to try if you aren't sure which one is correct.

My ignition key has a 3-digit code on it. I spoke with a locksmith who said that was right. Just to prove how right it was she cut me another from that code. Here in Australia, there is a Honda Riders' Club which has a 24/7 roadside assistance programme called "Honda Rider Assist" (funnily enough). I'm a member, and as part of the registration they require your key code. Why? Well, part of the service is, if you lose your key and you ring for assistance (a 1800 number) they will find the nearest locksmith, and have a new key cut and delivered to you. So, where is my spare key you ask? Ha ha. I know where - you find it!  BTW, if you have a spare key cut, ensure you have the code stamped on the new one. Never know when you will need it - again.

Definately try Hondakeys.com and Mark Troxell, great to work with. I used him to get new keys for my K0. Since I could not make out the correct groove pattern from his pics to match mine, he let me send a pic of my key. He verified he had my key number. He held my check until I notified him they worked (which they did, these are Honda keys, not recuts). Two plugged keys for my bike cost me $30, not the $100+ they are going for on eBay.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

I read somewhere that every Honda motorcycle came with 5 keys. 2 went to the new owner and the other 3 were to be kept on file at the dealer in case they were needed later when the owner lost the original two. Too bad the dealership that my bike came from (which is still open and selling Hondas) doesn't still have them...
