Greetings from Portland

Damn fine site you have here. Well I just pulled my 76 CB550 back in the garage after 4+ years and the motor is siezed. Started on a tear down. I am sure I will have plenty of questions, first SOHC4 I have done. Glad to be here, looks like there is a wealth of info.
Cheers,
Josh

Right on, I will. At the moment I am trying to figure out if it is going to be better to rebuild, or just try and find a new donor. I am in SE Portland, any help I can get would be awsome, like I said, first SOHC4. It is all in pieces right now. Thanks for the reply

Come over Sunday. Ryan (R550) is in the process of tearing down his 550 motor. Can talk to Marcus about your best options in dealing with the siezed motor, and talk to ryan to see if you really want to tear the whole thing down or just get a new engine.

Sounds good, Email me with the info if you could. I have the motor stripped down to the case, connecting rods are rusty as well, but there is no play in them, and they mic out fine for the wrist pin.
