so i had a stuck screw and hit it with the impact and snapped my tach cap. i was wondering if anyone sees a problem with me trying to jb weld it back together. As long as it will still seal properly will it hurt anything until i get a replacement?

As long as it didn't break across the surface where the oil seal sits I don't see why some JB weld wouldn't work.

Look on ebay, too, for the whole valve cover. If you can find an ugly one for cheap, that may be a good route to go. Then you can just take the part off that you need.

I just remembered I have a spare valve cover for a 550 in my garage.
PM me your address and I'll send the tach drive gear housing to you. It still has the oil seal in it, which should still be in good shape.
