if you have a thermal flasher try and electronic one that might fix it

wow thanks for the quick reply evo!

i'm curious as to why it would need to change since i added regular turn signals back on the bike. the brakelight is the only led. so far i have not done anything to disturb the original wiring harness.

does this have to do moreso with the lack of signals up front?

haha im not evo, i dont think he is the most fav person on this site anymore fyi

but the reason i say an electronic flasher is because the thermal flasher has to heat up enough to make the flashers blink and i think if you dont have the two front ones then there might not be enough heat building up to make them flash

I said this first because you can go buy an electronic flasher at the auto parts store for like 8 bucks and stick it on real fast and if that doesnt work you can return it immediately

LOL sorry about that, quick on and off the web at work makes you miss some things ;)

so do i just do a swap with the flasher you think? this makes a whole lot of sense the way you're explaining it.
never hurts to try...thanks for the info andy!

Not to dump all over this guy, but this seems so unnecessary. There is a 5 watt LED at superbightleds.com for 22$ that is a direct replacement and totally kills, even during the day. Thing is massively bright, compact and you don't have to chop up anything.

Haha, Was wondering how this got resurected seeing as I think evo is about as popular as a skunk at a flower smelling contest.

success! after a couple stops at the local automotive stores, i was able to pick up a generic 2-prong electronic flasher. slapped it on the bike and voila i have blinkers that blink...actually they're just marker lights but who's countin :)
thanks for the tip andy

instead of starting another post, would someone be so kind as to lead me to a place to purchase a shorter speedo cable? my speedo quit working altogether lastnight...i would imagine it has something to do with how its coiled into such a tight area.

i'm running clubmans into a euro light bucket (ala benjie) so it's pretty much a straight shot up the steering column
