if you twist my arm hard enough i just might make you one ;) if you buy the parts.. did you guys like the night shots??? my whole yard was RED whith that brake light on!!!!!! it was crazy and the licence plate light is MUCH brighter and nicer to see!! i dont care that its LED and LEDs didnt come on a CB750 after seeing this i'm not going back.... there is something to be said for safety on a bike like good tires you only have 2 and you cant do without 1 you are pretty much garenteed to crash if you loose one (ie flat) so saftey like brighter lights and stuff are nice improvements and it draws less on the charging system alot less!

There is a LOT to be said for safety, and these lights are a great addition! Thank you!  RR

Thats really slick!! I like how you maintained the stock look.  My rear tailight was purchased through TruckLite.. which as their name suggests, they make lights of allll sorts for semis, rv's, trailers, and much, much more.  Literally, if you're standing 4 ft. away staring directly into it when the brakelight is on, it is almost TOO bright.  You have to look away... LED's are awesome.  I feel like I dont have to worry as much about being taken out from behind anymore.

Very nice work Evo. I would rather look a tiny bit less that stock than have a MiniVan run me over. Aslo the power savings could go to better headlight.

Great job, eVo! Nice planning: if you go me some dimensions, I could make a circuit board up: maybe we could create an SOHC4 taillite kit?

Is it to early to send paypal payment yet??? Me and electrical just don't get along, would definitely be interested.

Nice work, and a good write-up. :)  You should post this in the "Tricks & Tips" section, or request that it be added to the FAQ, because LED lights are definitely a frequently asked question.

all i would need is your stock houseing lenz and "stanley backing plate" and the 2 wires sticking out of it and i could prol do 2 or 3 a week it would cost about $75 for materials labor and return shipping and it would be upto you to ship it to me if you guys dont want to do electrical... i really didnt think that this would be this much of a big hit i just got this idea the other day and i was in my slippers sunday morning and i had already gotten the tail light kit and i just sat down and did it... anyways glad you guys enjoy it and yes i like the stock look that is what drove me to update the stock parts with LEDs for a modern light and LEDs last longer and if 1 burns out its no big deal cuz you have LOTS of spares in the cluster now if like half burn out thats a little different.. its not on a car so your not going to use this light near as much as if you commuted to and from work 12 months out of the year and it is a litttle hard to transport large items on a bike.

I got one of these 13 led replacement taillight bulbs from Aerostich last year. The red one. Makes my white licence plate show up pink ! (not that there's anything wrong with that...) so I'm thinking of upgrading to the 39 led white model.  Not sure of the current draw though.  Check it out   http://www.aerostich.com/aerosearch.php?restrict=Static&q=led+bulb

problem is that white LEDS are dim in a RED LENZ!!!!!! you need RED LEDs for a Red LENZ if you want a yellow light you need YELLOW LEDs or it will be very DIM!!!! trust me i have played with LEDs for years now on little projects here and there they do not function like a incadecent. And yes i relize that that is the cheap way to make a LED tail light but mine looks stock on the outside and makes that 1157 drop in look like a candle compared to a spot light!

BTW i'm almost done with my LED turn signal project i will post that next! hopefully i will have some time tonight to take pictures so you can check it out they dont seem to be as bright at many angles... BUT i'm making up for that by having the bright tail light that shines bright to the side... and it does grab attention!

yes that is the kit at H-Freight!!! see the side reflectors/ side leds that is the oneyour going to remove off the other cluster to make a total of 2 side LED marker lights! you will see it when you take them apart! i just got my LED rear turn signals done... they look awsome and only draw 100mA btw all my readings were done on a stock honda CB750 battery w/o the bike running so battery voltage was at 12.85v it does matter on that voltage because 13.8v when the bike is running is different Amps draw.

i am working on the front signals only probelm is the bulb on my bike is a 1157 (2way) and so my thought is this i got some led marker lights with stud.. and i removed the stud and used short studs from an old battery and screwed the light with stud into the end of the headlight bolts that hold the head light on tell me what you guys think?

then after that i was going to wire in the lights as a marker light and turn the turn signals into LEDS and make it a turn signal ONLY instead of marker light / turnsignal...

could you possibly post a link showing which led turn signals you got from kragens/oreilys?

is this on it

also can you go into detail on how you wired the turn signals? thanks

This isnt necessarily the place to post, but if someone knows my problem feel free to PM/email me the answer (don't like being a thread-jacker..)

I noticed you had rear running-lights... I am running stock signals on a stock harness (minus the rear brake.. but that shouldnt have any effect on signals?) and I have no rear running-lights. Brake light and tailight work awesome.  Rear and front signals, check... Front runninglight, check.  But No rear runninglights.  I am horrible with electronics... Anyone have any suggestions?

PS. fuses are in perfect order.

Grove that is normal, these bikes don't have rear running lights just turn signals. Running lights on the rear of as vehicle rmust be Red not Yellow.
