350F Petcok
« on: March 29, 2009, 05:56:38 PM »
I have a cb350F 1972
I am planning to reline my tank and took my petcok off only to realize that the long brass tube was broke off to about an inch.
How is that going to effect the bike? Does anyone have a petcock for a 72 cb350F?
Thanks

The difference a shorter than stock petcock tube will make is in the amount of gas you have left in the "reserve" position.  How did it get broken off?  Was it cut shorter by the PO?

I'm not quite sure. its definitely not a clean cut,but I wouldn't doubt it since I realized that the PO had an axle that was about a half an inch to long therefor the rear wheel couldn't be tightened all the way. Also I just pulled the carbs this weekend and realized that the PO had drilled out 3 of the 4 size 35 jets, I can't figure out why they would have drilled them out at all let alone only 3 of them.
