I am trying to decide whether to go with oversized intake valves and stock exhaust valves, or go for a full set of Cycle X superflow valves.
I want to get some opinions on these two mods.
The OS valves are obviously OS. They increase flow by increasing the flow diameter.
The Superflow valves have a reduced stem diameter and are polished and bla bla bla.
What I want to know is if the reduced stem diameter really has that much of an affect on the flow. It doesnt seem to increase the cross-sectional area of flow that much. How does this compare to OS intake valves?
My gut says that the OS valves will provide a bigger bump in flow and performance. One set of OS valves is about the same cost as a full set of Superflow valves. And since my exhaust valves are fine, it's a toss up in terms of cost.
Anybody have experience with these setups? What's the verdict.
Thanks.
