Hi,

I have a 350 and a 400....(400 is very similar to the 350)

Your going to have a problem with some if not all of that stuff.

Problem is there is no unified source for ALL that stuff.

For example there is no Rebuild kit for the engine.

What you wind up doing is buying a gasket kit...which generally doesn't include the seals (shifter, output shaft, kick starter etc.) then you wind up sourcing the bearings (crank, Rod, transmission).

If you check the FAQ section theres a pretty good list of suppliers and vendors.

You'll just have to source it as you go.

Stroker kit???
I may alienate the 350-4 people here, but I think trying to hotrod one is a waste of time. There just isn't much available.
The 400F engine should bolt in the 350 frame, if you really like the UJM look. The clutch actuator is the major difference but that's pretty easy to deal with. You get a 6 speed transmission. There are overbore kits available... probably these would work in the 350 as well but the shorter stroke affects the result of course. If you mean putting a 400 crank in a 350 (is that a stroker kit?) I dunno... you still have the 5 speed gearbox so why not just put in the whole 400 motor that you would take the crank out of?
The old Haynes (I think) 350-550 book has a chapter on performance improvements. It starts with "there's one model we don't recommend trying to modify - the 350-4".

You can get oversize pistons for the 400....but they won't work in the 350.

You could use 400 Jugs and head on a 350....but like bodi said you'd be better served starting with a 400 engine.

Your best bet for a wiring harness is to look in the parts for sale section on here and find someone who has parted out thier 350F.

Also keep an eye out on ebay for the same thing. Usually a wiring harness is sold when the bike is taken apart to sell.

As for rebuilding...I agree with the others, you'll have to source the parts individually, or if you go with the 400F engine, you can get some partial kits; I think Buzz @ Dynoman.net has a 400F big bore top end kit.

What I did for gaskets, is bought an aftermarket gasket kit, and then bought an oil seal kit from siriusconinc.com. I still had to get the odd seal from Honda though.

Give the Honda dealer a shot for most off the parts you will need. I got nearly everthing there; Bearings, piston rings, etc...

...And stroking this engine is an ambitious adventure. I ported mine but you'd be breaking new ground stroking it. I've not heard of a stroked 350F...and here is where you'd find one if there was  ;)

Good luck, Matt.

If I recall the 350 and 400 cranks are the same (just bigger bore) so that wouldn't get you "stroked". I agree with the others, just get a 400f top end or a whole 400 motor.

Gaskets should be fairly easy to come by, but I recommend oldbikebarn.com, z1enterprises.com, siriusconinc.com, omarsdtr.com, or 400fourstore.com for everything else new (eBay seems to be overpriced for most things you need, much better to get brand new parts straight from a store.
As far as engine mods, porting, cam regrind, and ignition seem to be the best bets for power enhancement (as well as lapping your valves and rebuilding your carbs).
What is super cool about these bikes is playing around with the handling and braking.  That is where they will get fun, as you aren't going to get oodles of power out of them.  Try looking into better forks (search the forum and check out "ohio cafe racers"), improve your brakes (dual if possible), better rear shocks, aluminum rims, etc.  There is plenty to pick up as you start searching these forums and googling the internet.  Please please please don't buy anything spur of the moment though.  Just when you are ready to buy a new upgrade part... put the computer away and give it a week before purchasing as you will come up with a better idea in the next few days.

Be careful of the 400fourstore.com website though, you'll likely come away from that site looking for money to spend.  That guy has some great bolt on parts.
