important news!

Okay it's not important news... that was a ruse to get you to look.

Okay so, the topic is America. What do you think about it? How about your home state? What do you love about your country, what don't you like? This is not a political thread.

Yeah I think there are a lot of things we do not like that relate back to politics in some way. For instance, where I live, it is ok to ride snowmobile on the streets in the winter. But you go to a larger town and there are laws against it. Politics in motion right there.
I might narrow things a little and maybe just post things I like! ;)

We as a country have been screwed since before I was born. (early 80's)

Illinois is the most ass backwards retarted state I have ever had the pleasure of living in. Liberal state yet we have probably the most conservative laws on the books. (meaning lifestyle not political).

I love the US because we took a stand some 250 years ago and we are still here. What other place in the world do you know of where you can go and scream things at people in a "civilized" manner and not get shot for it??

I am disappointed in the US because we seem to have become spineless doormats to our own citizens. Cannot upset anyone for fear of legal retaliation, nor can anyone get punished for stupidity. It's become a broken system.

*Disclaimer*

I am not political. Never have been, never will be. I will not engage you in discussion nor will I respond to your taunts. Unless you're Caaveman82. He asked the question so I gave him an answer.

Damnit you are supposed to warn us we need to stock up on beer for these threads....

:)

And MY "home " state.
Euphoria.... No thats where I want to go.....

No really I LOVED Wyoming. Every town/city I lived in Wyoming most of the poeple would give you their last gallon of gas to help you on your way, or a meal if you were stranded.

Try that in any major city! More likely to get a gun/bat/cops called than get help.

Just hated the nasty winters.
Nothing like 10 foot snowdrifts and -60 temps....

But the open spaces....
I could go for WEEKS and not see anyone.
Now if I could only get a good paying job... Bill, Wyoming would be awesome...
Moving me and my family there would more than DOUBLE their population!

As for America.....
I love my country. I fear my government.
The SS#'s were initially not meant to identify people....
But they do....
I'll stop before I go into full on ranting.

Just remember...
Just because you are paranoid DOES NOT MEAN THEY AREN'T OUT TO GET YOU!

The only place I have been I wish I had stayed was Malta.
People were pretty friendly, VERY well educated, the homeless almost didn't exist, a small efficient gvmnt..... the open sea, WARM RAIN!?!!
However when the snails came out of the Mediterranean sea to breed was REALLY strange.
Cramped as all can be people per sq. mile...
But the beautiful local gals made up for that!!

Virginia.  I love that it's not flat.  Mountains.  4 seasons, although we haven't had much snow in a few years.  When we do get it, it doesn't interfere with riding too much.  Close to a fair amount of water, both fresh and sea.  Free museums(in D.C.).
