as told to me by cnn.com a few days ago... conficker will go for automatic updates first, disable it and your ability to access any microsoft websites.  this is the best way to tell if you have the virus.

elizabeth's network at her office has been hit as of today.  i'll let you know any details i find out but so far there are only questions about how and which computer came up w/ it first.

an environmental cleanup/testing company... turns out, all of the computers on the network had the patch to avoid the virus but no one remembered to load it onto the server computer.

so, they're just working on getting it off the server... so far no major problems and it hasn't affected any of the others yet.  i guess you could say they got lucky.

I didn't get hit by the conflicter virus, but my system has been runnig very, very slow for the past 2 weeks.
Oh, and I still can't type for sh$t.
