Hello from upstate NY
« on: April 15, 2009, 10:38:14 AM »
New to the upstate area.  Im a relocation from the sunny state of Florida.  My boss let me get her 76 cb550 for the outrageous price of 0 dollars.  I looked at it and it was all three wheeled out.  It sat in her yard since 2001 but it was in remarkable condition.  Ive got it all torn down and am going through the engine now.  I hope to return it to its two wheeled glory soon.

Welcome aboard,
I hope you have a picture of the 550 as a trike, can't say I ever saw one. Good luck with your project. What are your plans for the bike? This site is definitely the place for good info on these great machines. The Adirondacks are an awsome place to ride, beautiful area, at bit cooler than Florida but I'm sure you know that already.

No, I'm not being punished.  I chose to move here on my own accord.  As far as my plans for the bike, I will be returning it to two wheels and doing a couple mods here and there.  I'm not really interested in stock, or cafe for that matter.  Come to think about it, I'm not even really all that interested in labels period.  I have lots of pictures, and will be uploading some soon.

Yeah it seems I have.  The site has definatly been a help along with a good manual ripping my bike apart.
