Read Titan Honda 350
« on: March 27, 2009, 03:12:54 PM »
In this months (April) Classic Bike magazine is an article on a 1965 Read Titan Honda 350 a great read for those who love the CB72/77. I have scanned a page as a taster. Hopefully it doesn't break too many copyright laws.

It gives the owners name as Joel Davies, but at the end of the article it says he recently sold it.

I'm talking about the journo/tester.

It looks like his style, he's a tall guy and wears that black/white helmet when testing old bikes (colour graphics and knee sliders on modern bikes)

Ok Steve not a name I am familiar with, the article was written by Gez Kane and it reads as if he rode it. I'd better add that the photographer was John Noble since I uploaded his pictures.  :) I can't believe how much it sold for, that sort of money usually buys a standard bike and this one has to be unique now. According to the article, in 1965 Standard CB77 £269 and a Read Titan £394, but they did 3 stages of engine mods, so perhaps that price is stage 3.
