OK so I read the "manual download" thread and found a manual for the cb750f3.  There are no torque specs for the (4) clutch lifter plate bolts.  I answered my own question, and now I'm talking to myself. Must be time for Bed :)

Hi Hap,

I can't give you info specifically for a '78 CB750F........ but I can give you the info for a '74 CB750 K4.  This information covered the '69 through '78 K model series.  I would think you'd be OK.

The center hub nut is to be torqued 33 to 36 foot pounds.

The 4 plate bolts are to be tightened progressively, one turn at a time, in a counterclockwise pattern....... until you reach 6 to 7 foot pounds.

You shouldn't have any problems with this procedure......  ;) ;)
