Morning briefing to the president
« on: April 01, 2009, 10:45:00 PM »
The Dept Of Defense briefed the president this morning, they told OBAMA that 2 Brazilian soldiers were killed in Iraq . To everyone's surprise, all the color drained from Obama's face.

Then he collapsed onto his desk, head in his hands, visibly shaken, almost in tears.

Finally, he composed himself and asked, 'Just how many is a brazilian?'

This is especially funny since he obviously has no understanding of million, billion or trillion either.

Okay, so do YOU know what a trillion dollars looks like?   ???

(sorry for the annoying ad at this site, but it's worth putting up with it to see this)

It did, and makes a lot more sense that way considering his tenuous grasp of the English language.

Tenuous grasp of the english language or tenuous grasp of the size of numbers... same thing.

Conservatives seems to have this love affair with mediocrity.  They like to deride and mock intellect as some sort of "liberal elite" thing.  The elevation of Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, and Joe the Plumber as important voices in the party come to mind.  I remember how proud they were of Bush's C average when he was first elected.

You seem to forget that we had presidents who hadn't even finished college.  Kind of an interesting list, actually...

As heard one colleague say after the umpteenth balls-up by the powers-that-be:

Lots of sense, but not much common.

Goes for a lot of the muppets that govern us

Hey! I resent that!  I've done a good job.
