what swing arm is that you are swapping in? what are the dimensions on it?
the mono shock is on the back burner till I get all the parts together, but its a 93 CBR600f2 swingarm.
the pivot point is 9.25in wide(about 1/4 inch over stock)
it's 24 inches long overall
21.5in from the center of the pivot bolt to the axle which is about 3.5 inch stretch from stock, or 1 inch longer than what I have now
about 9 inches between the legs (where the axle is)
it's gonna be some work to fit it, but not so much that I can't deal with it
I'll shave down the mating surfaces in the pivot point
shave off all the tabs on the swingarm and add my own
fit an 18'' wheel with a big disc brake
drill and sleeve the frame to fit the 15mm pivot bolt
(cause I'm @ 16mm right now from the DOHC one)
modify a front fender to hug the rear tire
make rearsets with yamaha R6 foot levers, master cyl, and my own pegs and brackets.
and get a longer chain.
for the shock-
weld a clevis tab to the frame brace on the bottom for the dogbone link
and weld another clevis tab to a plate and weld that plate to the brace on the backbone under the tank.
needless to say I'll have to relocate the battery and fab up an oil tank
here's the battery I'll use.
It's 12v 190cca same as stock but sealed, thinner, and almost half as tall
it's dimensions are 3.5'' wide X 4.5 high X 6'' long.
http://www.factoriesonline.com/ProductInfo.aspx?id=5447097and the oil tank I'll make out of aluminum, but I haven't figured out a design yet, most likely formed to fit low and tight to the motor and swingarm area.
there may be more but I think I'm done rambling for now.
i dont remember, what did you end up doing with that seat?
you disappeared man! I sold it to somebody locally for 30 bucks.
