Needs some work but is mostly there.  Been down this road before with various Yamahas.  First Honda and first inline four for me.

Welcome from the lowcountry of SC. Does your bike have original paint? Dont know about older Yamaha parts but alot of maintenance parts for your bike are still available from your Honda dealer! Your bike being an F model will be a little harder to find correct parts from e-bay as people list things incorrectly. Cosmetic parts mostly.Post some pics in the 550 registry page too.

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

...Does your bike have original paint? ...

Yes, it's blue.  Faded on top of the tank.  Good condition on the sides and the right side airbox cover.  Missing left side cover unfortunately.  I plan to just make the original paint as nice as possible for now.

Is it normal for frame number and engine number to NOT match?  Frame is 1/75 build date, CB550F-1005xxx and engine is CB550E-... number.

Thanks for the welcome,

Ken
