DOHC vs SOHC tach oil seal

Its been posted here that a DOHC tach seal works better on a sohc CB750 than oem. Anybody try that and have the part # ? Thank you

My 78 750K has had a tach seal from an early eighties DOHC in it for 4 years or so.  The seal has worked perfectly so far.  I don't have the part number off hand but go to any online parts diagram site and pull up the seal from an 80CB750 and it will be the one I used. At the time, I compared it to the a new SOHC seal and I recall it being the same ID and OD as the stock seal but with a bit stouter appearance.  Order one up and see for yourself!

I installed a DOHC tach oil seal; no leaks after several days of riding. It differs slightly from a SOHC seal- the inner lip is tapered. Definate ifix to an annoying leak.
