I ordered a bunch from Stainless cycle, but I think the guy ran off with my money  Its been 2 months since I ordered my stuff.

Time to find a new vendor.

Hmmm, that's where I got mine 6 or 7 months ago and they showed in a timely fashion (unlike, say, Old Bike Barn). Have you tried getting ahold of him? No response?

Look in FAQ for parts vendors. Big long list. Including Forum member Jim Spillane does engine side case screws, maybe more.

I just placed an order from Stainless Cycle and received it in less than 2 weeks?  Maybe another snafu with mailing address or post office?

I'm working with http://www.inoxgrp.co.uk/catpdf.htmfor a COMPLETE stainless kit for my WHOLE bike including the long engine hanger bolts. Mostly electro polished and/or bright polished. They should be able to supply any/all you need. These guys are the only supplier I have found that have more that engine kits. Our infrequent member, Jim Spillane also supplies engine kits plus front end kits for the 750f.

Yea I am still waiting from stainless cycle also. I have been waiting for three weeks. This thread actually reminded me of it. If anyone finds out what is going on please share.

welp, for some unknown reason  everyone on the planet orders their kits when riding season starts.  we process all orders as they come in, we get 10 times the orders during march and april then we do any other month.  we are working as fast as we can.  we generally are a few days behind during this time (right now we are about 5 days backed up on orders.. we have been as much as 10 days behind (mid march...)  we generally can keep up 10 months out of the year.  march and april are a #$%*.

xn - i don't know you are, so i can't check on package..  if it's been more than 10 days, maybe mail is lost, or i dunno.. feel free to email us at info@stainlesscycle.com or call 330-519-4772 and i can check tracking.....

okay.   so this is a total untruth.  we shipped usps # 420551069101805213907348853760 - it shows delivered. apparently usps lost it.   we both know this.  we've spoke on the phone about it.  don't claim for one second "i ran off with your money".  you know full well that we shipped.  we are clearly not in control of the post office.

the most annoying part is you blatantly lied about it.  you posted this after you investigated with the post office (remember we spoke on the phone today, and maybe 2 weeks ago), and investigated the whole claims system.  you posted this after you knew the usps #$%*ed up. when you realized you couldn't get refunded through usps you take a jab at us?

it is a great item i will be ordering another from them as soon as my other bike gets done

How would you feel if you paid someone for a product, never received it, promised they would send a replacement and never did?

I know there is a shipping record but anymore than that, no I don't I never saw a package from you.

Yes I asked you for another order. You said I have everything except for some of the washers. I said fine ship it. And you said ok. Bottom line is You told me you would ship me another order. Call me what ever you want but you were the one who lied from the get go along with promising to send me replacements. Did you ever once ask for money for the replacement before today? NOPE! And as for the first time you lied to me, when I first called you on Feb 27th you said oh yea I'm sure that order went out. So I waited for it, and waited some more... Then on March 9th I called you and you said yep it was shipped out on the 3rd, when truly the info you gave above shows it was shipped on the 5th.

First off I didn't lie about it. I never made a single claim with the post office.

I was simply looking for bolts... Yea I took a little jab. I guess that is what it takes for you to respond to someone 

I would not have brought this problem here if you would return phone calls or emails. You have never responded to any of my emails until today. And you have never returned a single phone message! And you and I both know that is a fact!

In the end I guess it really doesn't matter that I'm out money and time. At least you got paid!

I guess if anything good comes out of this it will show people how you truly operate on slow delivery, lies, and zero comunication.

What is the draw of stainless steel bolts?  Sure they never rust, ok, they are shiny.   Do they also never seize?  Dissimiliar metals, all that?  I know that they are typically harder, so maybe they will break loose instead of breaking, which would be good....but more of a hassle if/when they do break? 

Interesting replys from stainless cycle.  they had/have the opportunity to turn a bad situation into a good one....not sure they quite did it.

Allen heads mostly to replace all the phillips. Then it's just continuity. And yes, they look pretty spiffy

I just went to my local industrial fastener supplier. They had everything in stock.

About the vendor/customer argument...in most business transactions the vendor is responsible until the item is received by the customer (FOB Destination), including shipping. Likewise the customer is responsible for money payments until received by the vendor. If as a customer I send cash in an envelope to a vendor and it gets lost, I can't say "sorry dude, I sent the money, it must have been lost. Send me the parts." That's why noone sends cash in an envelope. Likewise, if a vendor uses risky shipping methods (no insurance or no tracking) they are still responsible for the items to be received by the customer.

I ordered some bolts from him about a week ago.  The tracking number says it is close by, so I should have them today or tomorrow.  I emailed him with my order number and he replied promptly.  Sorry about your situation.
