the 650 provides the exception for quite a few parts, actually... BUT: oil pressure sending unit? starter solenoid edit: i'm pretty sure that's different on the 650 actually)? STARTER MOTOR?

You're right paul, the 650 kills the similarities of parts from one size of CB to another pretty much outright.

The starter from the '74cb750 I had would not fit into a 650 case... I tried.

The battery?

Now if you were to omit the 650, I think you might find a few parts at least.

Gordon has it right: 754 is half right (the 500/550 and 350F had 1034 bulbs, 750 had 1157 when they were new). Instrument lamps and idiot light bulbs were the same.

Instrument lamps on the K0 750 are same as the later ones with a totally different idiot light cluster?

Yep, they are all the same small-round 3CP lamps.  ;)
Kinda hard to find, though, as the Americanized ones have bigger globes and a different part number, otherwise the same wattage and lumens.

Jeez guys, I can't believe everyone missed this - the friggen muffler bearings

OK guys, it has to be the fuses. What about fuel tank mounts? What do I win?

I found this out lately, & Fun Jimmy saw part of it..

Between a 500-4, 400-4, and 750-4, leaving the backbone the same, the front mounts for tank fit, and the rear mounts are all very close, although on 750 lower rails and carb clearance creates problems.. The 400  tank fits the 750 better than the 500 one.

mounts are different on the 650. and fuses went from short to long style. i do think you're right about the muffler bearings though. and blinker fluid too, right?

turn signal buzzer and horn? wheel bearings? come to think of it, the early sandcast 750s probably ruin as much as the 650s do...

As this is a totally pointless post,
With a big hammer, welder, some machining, anything will fit any model, its just a matter of applying the correct amount of force.  ;D

BTW, Kawasaki are the ONLY manufacturer who ever listed muffler bearings for their bikes, (the rubber bushings in the silencer mounts)
They are similar to the taper bushings in CB350, etc, handlebar /top yoke.
