I will be contacting Millennium and Cometic this week to establish a price for finish hone and plating as well as the gaskets. I really appreciate your interest and I'd be happy to take your name and info (what pistons you will run etc). Please feel free to email me and I'll answer any question(s) I can.
If anybody is interested in this block please email me with your info. Once everything is set in regard to design etc pieces can be made to order. Once again thanks for interest and believe me I'm as anxious, if not more so, to see a finished piece.

I heard once that you can not bore out(overbore) a Nikisil plated cylinder. Is there any truth to that Mike?
All these threads about all the big bore 750 parts is making me want to find some stuff to sell!
One year at Daytona(vintage around 04')there was a gentleman there running a red and blue 750ss and he had a new race motor sitting on the floor in his trailer. It was delivered to him the day before at the track from M3 and he told me he paid $7k plus for it. When this is all said and done with your block, your stage 4 head and top and bottom from Jay and ofcourse trans work, etc. What's your best estimate on a package like that compared to that supposed $7k

HB-1,I do not know,but I got to find out! Just got off the phone with APE 1000cc Big Bore kit on the way!!,Yeah part of its your fault and all the rest of you gearheads out there! No....you can overbore Nikisil....look at every block that is 10 years old and has been bored.

Plus....you can have the skirts coated to make up for wear. 7,000.00.....I can do much better than that even now. Ask Sparty about his rear wheel figures and amateur 1/4 mile numbers.

To give you an idea how tough this nicasil is, here are the replacment mileages for my Honda RS race motor. Piston ring 125 miles, piston 250 miles, crankshaft 500 miles and last of all the cylinder 1,000 miles, it's real tough stuff.
In a big four stroke motor, it'll probably out live you.

As a rule, it isn't overbored, it's replated, but it can be removed, overbored and replated to acomodate a larger piston as in my race motor. (125 is now 134cc +2mm)

My BMW K1100LT's engine has nikasil plated bores, and has just done a tad over 100,000 miles. The compression is still well within spec, and should be good for another 100,000 miles before it needs a rebore. I doubt that it'll need a rebuild in my lifetime.............

Yeah, they need new rings about 250,000~275,000.
bore usually show slight wear but within spec
I've done 2 early K series 'Flying brick' motors, from 1980's

Blue ...I spoke with him Saturday and he sounded very bad voice wise. I'd add, for the sake of explanation, he is a sober individual....he really has some awful type of throat infection. It was painful to listen to him on the phone. Anyway...I dropped off the head and base gaskets that came with my 1000 kit as he said he'd like to see them. It appears the majority of measuring is complete.....I'll get back to you guys later in the week.

Blue....I just got off the phone with him. He still does sound like crap but most of the measuring is done and there are 4 pieces of aluminum ready to be cut. It is interesting that he said the oil return galleys, stud holes etc had a big variance from the head to the cylinder block. He is measuring off a NOS head I have too.

Probes don't lie....these units will be nice guys. This is very professional stuff....I would not offer it (and pay for the start up) if it were not so. I know it's frustrating but I'll have some pics soon brothers.

M3 builds Formula 750 (750cc max) racing engines. The parts for those aren't quite as easy to come across big bore stuff.

The thing with using Mike's block you will be able to not only feel it and hear it but you can see it too

Most of these stealth engines have all the cash hidden from view.

MRieck Stage IV head with KPM 5mm conversion kit 34mm intake valves, smaller stronger lighter springs, smaller stronger lighter keepers, EXTENSIVE porting and polishing, etc

APE lightened balanced crank with Carrillo rods

APE 900 cylinders with NOS Henry Abe 900 kit
