I went back a few pages where you sat your NOS head on the new block and the fit looks better than the original.

Mike would you mind giving us another shot down the hole of the plating?
Sure Brent.

Thanks Andy and Sam.
I'm just over the bloody moon with this.
It will take some time to get this project all together.
APE is doing some work on the crank and tranny and supplying new rods and Mike is working on the head.
This is a grass roots up build with no shortcuts.
There's nothing like being a kid at Xmas again and that's how it is right now.  ;D  ;D  ;D  :D  :D  ;D  ;D

Hey Rob
Someway, somehow it can happen.
I really didn't think that it would all come to fruition but my heart and my guts said to just do it.
I will never look back on this decision.

I believe that they were blasted by Millenium after they were bored.
Mike could confirm this.

It sure looks like he did.  I'd prefer the fresh machined look myself.  I like shiny.   ;D

Me too BUT It is impossible to maintain the machined, shiny finish. Even if Millennium does not blast it they etch the cylinder to promote adhesion. The cylinder comes out looking milky white. They have to be bead blasted to look decent.

Thats why when I am able to get mine I'm gonna use sleeves so the cylinder block will retain the nice shiny milled billet look.   ;D ;D

Flat or shiny, I was there yesterday in Mike's secret underground laboratory and I am here to say, these things are not just billet engine blocks, as they qualify for motorcycle art.

it's settled then! to do mike's work justice a whole engine assembly is a must.

besides, a modern gearbox with six speeds and more strength is only right.  ;D
