Heeey medic... 09
« on: April 08, 2009, 08:32:16 PM »
I don't know why but he popped into my head the other day. It occurred to me that I haven't seen posts from him in a while. Then figured he's probably hanging around more respectable thread than I (me? help me out here Brits).

Alas, some of you insist on having a life in the three dimensional world.  :-\

I was thinking this same thing recently.  He had one thread going where he contemplated quitting his CB, but I never heard if that happened.

What is this "quitting CB" you speak of? Surely, such a thing is beyond the scope of all reason.

Hey y'all, Jona let me know I'd been marked MIA.

Sorry 'bout that.  Been very busy with (paid) work and (unpaid but more time-consuming) community work.  Passover is a very busy time in the Jewish community.  Now that it is over (tonight) I already have to go full swing into preparing new presentations and ongoing projects.

There is no truth to the ugly rumours that I might have sold my SOHC4.  I have thought about it; but only because it's neglected.  I think more likely I'm going to put the ugly hard bags back on it, so I can use it more for errands.  Right now, the Sprint sees all the action because it has the bags.  (Oh yeah, and electronic ignition, and no warm up time, and...  ;))  Greg, how's your F model doin'?

I've also been sans working computer for a while.  Just got a new MacBook.  If anyone has any special tips about these things, feel free to email me.  I'm still getting used to it, and still have to figure out how to salvage data (if the old computer will let me) and transfer it to the Mac.

I'll still be lurking, even if I've not much to add here.  Strangely, this is one very fine community and I am privileged to be part of it.  Really.  ;D

Greg, how's your F model doin'?

Very, very aggravatingly.  If I had all the money I've thrown into my F, I could put a big down payment on the fantastic looking Guzzi they have at executive auto on Rufina - that's how I'm feeling lately about my F.
Fortunately, I'm heading to a little place in Mexico next week - get out of my head for a few days and be right as rain.

Is there any time which is not a very busy time in your house Medic?  I hope school is treating you well.

Gotta respect a pious man, medic.  :)

Sorry I can't help you with that MacBook. Me and computers have a love/hate relationship; I hate them with a seething, visceral passion, and they love to torment and mock me. All in all it works for both sides.  ::)

I'm sure not the one to ask about pc problems. ::) I have enough issues of my own, that I have to deal with.

And, as far as respecting a pious man, Absolutely! ;)
