Okay..here's the deal..
There have been several laments here about there not being a good chrome facility in Colorado in past months. I checked around..and there is still @ least one that still does local chrome: Denver Bumper Works.. (303) 623-3610. They don't advertise it much..because modern bumpers are not really chrome anymore. But they do still do it (even for bikes)..and it beats the hello out of Brown's Chroming in Kentucky..as far as price.
I'm going to give them a full luggage rack/sissy bar combo to re-chrome shortly here (quote of $125.00). Will post on the quality later [figure it can't be much less than standard Honda stock chrome..hopefully a little better].

Second issue: I have an old biker friend/mentor here in Colorado (I'm 64..he's 78..and still riding) that has rebuilt/restored bikes for over 50 years. He has quite a collection of mainly early American and Brit bikes..that he restored himself. Indians, Harley, Excelsior, Triumph, BSA, BMW, Honda, et al. About 25 bikes in all. Also has several home built trikes, farm equipment that he has restored since his farm days as youngster in Nebraska.
My question to anyone interested is this: Would some of you like to plan a ride sometime this summer that includes my friend (who lives in Loveland, Colo.)..and his son..who rides an '84 Goldwing (Russ usually rides a '98 Harley Electra Glide..but may be any of his bikes)..which would include a tour of his bike collection (if you haven't seen a restored 1928 Excelsior, 1948 Indian w/sidecar or 1968 Triumph Trident..it's worth the trip)..ride around Loveland-Fort Collins area? A side benefit would be for all wishing for a good bike machinist/mechanic in greater Denver/Loveland area (very reasonably priced)..to connect up with Russ..and perhaps have a source for those special bike maintenance/restoration needs. [Only other person I can think of in area that would more qualified for working on our bikes would be Hondaman. But Russ has full machine shop facilities!]
Just throwing this out to whomever may be interested. Was just up @ Russ' the other day. Realized that this is a rapidly disappearing reality (old bikes, old bikers, old bike builders). Thought a few of you may be interested in seeing/sharing..before the oppurtunity passes completely.
Domo,
Ichi
