Have you made up the lines already?  If not, you can just have the male fitting on the end of the hose which replicates the original hard pipe.

Edit: Doh! You posted before I got mine done.

Like this one I think

or maybe you're looking for?

I'm kind of interested in this as I'm doing dual brakes and the fittings are reversed - one on top one on the bottom from side to side. Not to hi-jack but if you can remove the fitting can you swap them as well?

I already have a regular bajo fitting.... I am trying to figure out how to get the banjo bolt to seat properly into the caliper end. The fitting in the picture shows the fitting INSIDE the caliper that is in the way. im trying to figure out what to do about that fitting inside the caliper.

I just drilled out that piece.
You could probably do it by hand, but I have a drill press with tilt table and I cobbled something up with a drill press vise and C clamps to get the angle right.
Shortening the banjo would certainly be easier.
You won't ever be able to go back to a hard line without the flare insert, for sure.

I thought I read a member saying he just stacked a few crush washers to get a tight fitting without any modification of either the bolt or the caliper.

The piece just comes right out. Real simple. Take a finish nail a #8 and cut off the pointed end enough so it will fit in the hole from the inside. The big end of the nail will catch and the cut end will stick out. Just grab with a vice grip and it will pull right out. I have done it 3 times and it is 2 minute job. Dan

Not if banjo is right length.

I would not use a banjo, either a straight or 45 deg fitting..

Well unless you need roatational adjustability, like at anmaster cyl on bars..it usually just cost more money, and will only be used in one position. Plus it may cost more..

well the way that the caliper is.. with the fluid "IN" port tilted towards the tire, it looks as if  if i used a straight in fitting it would want to push the line into the tire. a 45 would probably work but still wouldnt give the angle i got with a35 degree bajo. I will get you a picture in a little. the 35 degree with the tilt of the fluid "IN" port gives me the same angle as the fork tubes makeing it a straight shot up the fork tubes.

Yeah those late caliper are a bit harder to rouute. Got a -4 line with srtraight fitting, it comes close to fender. A 39 or 45 deg fitting would have helped a bit.

I just think banjos dont look any cleaner, and are a bit cobby looking.

I'm going straight in and while the line does initially point toward the wheel/tire, it is easy enough to route it away and it has plenty of clearance.
