My Bro and his SOHC STUNT Bike..
« on: March 10, 2009, 08:26:51 PM »
I tried to buy my younger brothers XL 350.. bet he had it 25 years..
 wouldnt sell.. >:(

now his neighbor tried to buy it, he wouldnt sell..

So he lent it to his neighbor who does  movie work..

Gonna be a stunt double for a Ducati..heh..heh

putting a brand new Duck tank on it, as Ducati would not let them jump the ones  (4)they supplied..

Had to be a Twinshock bike..

I think it will be on the X-Files..

 sorta cool, I thought..

I hope they get the sound effects correct. In one of the Terminator movies the kid is riding a Honda XL (not sure what size XL, but clearly a four stroke single) in a chase scene. The sound used for this four stroke single was obviously that of a two stroke single. It amazes me that millions are spent making these movies and yet they can screw up something that simple.

I heard this may be on Youtube. A poster by name Stefano posted something about it on a Ducati forum. Not sure of forum or Youtube name, but part of the username on the tube is Muzzy or Muzzi.

Anyway, they got it looking like a Duc, even fake framerails under the Duc tank!. Then they took it off either a bridge or overpass  :o, I think about 12 times or so till the front wheel packed it in. Then the stunt guy tried it with a newer Yamaha, and I heard he broke the frame.. :o

Apparently they did buy another XL350 as well. i think he is getting paid for them using his bike and huge suspension upgrades, plus he can say , it does 25 ft drops.. lol

Oh Hell yeah!!  Thanks for the heads up, I had no idea about this.  Looks like it won't be out until 2011, but it does have Jeff Bridges. 8)  Trailer looks awesome!
